Bavarian Apple Torte
This bake is very dear to my heart… I think of it as the one that started it all!
My favorite thing about this torte is how my house smells while it is baking…. like apples, sugar, and Christmas. When it is done baking, the smell lingers for a few hours of holiday bliss. I’m sure it is a yummy dessert year round, but I will always think of this on my Christmas table.
Laying the apples out is one of my favorite parts of the baking process. We have to be careful to slice the apples thin enough so they lay flat against each other.
I love the look of the classic tart pan.. the ridges on the side make the torte look elegant. Every slice is a piece of heaven. Baked apples and cheesecake? Delicious!
